Arsenal Close to Signing Chelsea’s Noni Madueke in £50m+ Deal

Arsenal Football Club is reportedly on the brink of finalizing the signing of Chelsea winger, Noni Madueke, as the player prepares to undergo medical examinations ahead of an official move to the North London side this summer transfer window.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly reached a formal agreement on the transfer, with the total package exceeding £50 million, including various performance-based add-ons. The deal marks another high-profile transfer in the Premier League and underlines Arsenal’s ambition to strengthen their squad depth before the 2025/2026 campaign.

According to multiple reliable sources, including highly respected football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Madueke has already consented to personal terms with Arsenal. The player is set to commit to a five-year contract, reflecting his long-term commitment to Mikel Arteta’s project at the Emirates Stadium.

Romano disclosed the update late Thursday via his official account on platform X (formerly Twitter). He wrote:

“EXCLUSIVE: Noni Madueke to Arsenal, here we go! Fee agreed in excess of £50m with add-ons included, green light from Chelsea.

Madueke already agreed a five year deal at Arsenal days ago and he’s now set to complete the move.”

Despite widespread resistance from some segments of the Arsenal fanbase online—many of whom took to social media to question the logic behind signing another winger—the club’s management remains unwavering in their pursuit of the 22-year-old England international.

Madueke, known for his technical ability, pace, and creativity on the flanks, is expected to provide much-needed support and squad competition for Bukayo Saka, especially on the left-hand side of the pitch. Nonetheless, his versatility allows him to operate effectively on the right wing as well, giving Arteta tactical flexibility.
