Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal Refutes Claims Of PDP Defection To APC

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has firmly denied rumors suggesting he is planning to switch allegiance from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The clarification comes amid growing political chatter both online and offline regarding his alleged move.

In an official statement shared across his verified Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) accounts, Governor Lawal reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the PDP, labeling himself as a committed and authentic member of the party. “I am Dauda Lawal, a bona fide member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Disregard the fake news from detractors determined to distract us from the RESCUE MISSION we have embarked on,” he wrote.
