Wizkid’s Associate Tufab Accuses Davido of Alleged Threat to His Life

Tufab, a close associate of Nigerian superstar Wizkid, has openly accused fellow music icon Davido of threatening his life. The shocking revelation surfaced on Wednesday after Tufab took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his concerns with the public.

In his viral post, Tufab claimed that Davido allegedly sent him disturbing messages that suggested a direct threat. According to him, the messages were severe enough to warrant a public disclaimer for his own safety. He urged Nigerians and the global music community to hold Davido accountable should anything happen to him.

The Alleged Messages Between Davido and Tufab

Screenshots shared by Tufab appeared to show Davido accusing him of calling him “Osakpolo”, a name Davido seemingly considered offensive.

Davido, in the leaked message, allegedly linked himself to the Aye fraternity, while labeling Tufab as a “bird.” The message read:

“My name is not Osakpolo I’m warning you. Ok, continue. That’s all I will say. I Dey warn you. Wetin wan happen. U be bird, I be Aye, make we play the game.”

Tufab’s Response and Denial

In response, Tufab firmly denied ever insulting Davido or calling him by the said name. He also dismissed claims of having any involvement with a cult or secret group.

Tufab wrote in his defense:

“But I didn’t even call you that. And please stop warning me, bro. Abeg, me and you don pass all these levels. I’ve never said anything hurtful to you.”

He further explained that his decision to bring the matter to the public was simply a protective measure:

“I’m bringing this to the general public as a disclaimer against my personality. First of all, let me say I am not affiliated with any cult or fraternity and I don’t have a problem with anyone who is. As you can see in this screenshot, I’m being threatened and this is not the first time, it is now becoming too often. I don’t know what game he is talking about, but I have seen these things play out in real life and in movies. My life is under threat and if anything happens to me, y’all know who to hold responsible. The only reason I’m doing this is to protect myself.”
