Victor Osimhen has confirmed that he will decide on his future at the end of the current football season, following his loan move to Turkish Super Lig champions, Galatasaray.
The 26-year-old striker has been performing exceptionally well, having scored his 21st league goal of the season during Galatasaray’s 2-0 victory over Samsunspor last Friday.
Despite enjoying his time in Turkey, Osimhen’s future remains uncertain, with Galatasaray showing a keen interest in securing him on a permanent deal. However, his €75 million release clause could pose a significant hurdle. Other top clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal are also reportedly keeping tabs on the player.
In an exclusive interview with Galatasaray’s official website, Osimhen shared his current focus and expressed his appreciation for the support he has received at the club. “There’s always speculation surrounding my future,” Osimhen said. “But for now, I am fully focused on the present. I am enjoying my time here, both with the club and my life in Turkey.”
He went on to praise the club’s fans, stating, “Since day one, the fans have been incredible. Everyone at Galatasaray has been very supportive, not just to me, but also to my friends and family. I feel at home here.”
Osimhen further emphasized his commitment to Galatasaray’s goals for the season, stating, “My focus now is to help the team win the fifth star. At the end of the season, we will sit down and decide what is best for everyone. Galatasaray will always hold a special place in my heart.”
The forward’s decision on his future is expected to take place after the conclusion of the season, leaving fans and clubs alike eagerly awaiting his next move.
