Manchester United’s Under-18 squad delivered a jaw-dropping performance on Saturday as forward Victor Musa scored an extraordinary six goals to lead the Red Devils to a 13-1 win over Leeds United in the U18 Premier League showdown held at Carrington.
Following their disappointing FA Youth Cup exit against Aston Villa earlier this week, United’s young talents bounced back in electrifying fashion. Adam Lawrence’s side wasted no time asserting dominance, with Musa breaking the deadlock early in the match—even after missing his initial penalty attempt.
Just minutes later, Musa doubled United’s lead after linking up brilliantly with Jaydan Ngwashi. The relentless striker then completed a lightning-fast hat-trick by the 14th minute, capitalizing on a rapid counter-attack.
The 18-year-old wasn’t done yet. By the 25th minute, Musa had already netted five goals, showcasing impeccable finishing skills and elite movement. Shortly after, teammate Jim Thwaites added his name to the scoresheet with a quickfire hat-trick in just 11 minutes, further compounding the misery for the visiting side.
Musa rounded off his stunning display with his sixth goal of the match, registering his second hat-trick of the day, all within the first 45 minutes. By halftime, Manchester United led 9-0.
The second half saw additional goals from James Bailey, Daniel Armer, and JJ Gabriel to take the tally to 13. Leeds United managed a late consolation through Kenneth Mensah, but the result was long settled.
Manchester United U18s now shift focus to their upcoming clash with Nottingham Forest next Saturday.
