UCL Update: Cole Palmer Admits Chelsea’s Errors Led to 3-1 Loss Against Bayern Munich

Chelsea’s young midfielder, Cole Palmer, has openly admitted that the three goals conceded in their Champions League clash against Bayern Munich were the direct result of mistakes made by his team.

The Blues kicked off their UCL campaign at the Allianz Arena but suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat to the Bundesliga giants.

The first blow came when defender Trevor Chalobah scored an unfortunate own goal, followed by a well-taken penalty from Bayern’s star striker Harry Kane, which put the home side two goals ahead. However, Palmer managed to reduce the deficit with a composed finish, offering Chelsea a glimmer of hope.

That hope didn’t last long, as Kane struck again to seal victory for Bayern Munich and secure all three points.

Speaking to DAZN after the match, Palmer reflected on the result:

“I actually think we played really well. We’ve proven that we deserve to compete at this level. But the three goals we conceded came from our own errors. We also had opportunities of our own. We managed to break them down effectively but missed key chances. They’re a top-quality team, and we deserved more than the outcome we got.”

Palmer’s comments echo the frustration many Chelsea fans feel, as the Blues displayed promising moments but lacked the clinical edge to challenge a dominant Bayern side.

For Chelsea, this result means they must quickly regroup ahead of their next Champions League fixture, as dropping more points at this stage could prove costly.
