Two Killed, One Injured In Kano Auto Crash

Tragic Road Accident at Eldorado Cina Junction, Kano

A devastating road accident at Eldorado Cina Junction along Airport Road, Kano, claimed two lives and left one individual severely injured on Wednesday morning.

The fatal collision, which took place around 8:15 a.m., involved a commercial DAF truck and a private Jincheng motorcycle. According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kano Sector Command, reckless driving was the primary cause of the accident.

Swift Emergency Response by FRSC

Confirming the incident, CRC Abdullahi Labaran, the Sector Public Education Officer, reported that FRSC personnel arrived at the crash site within three minutes of receiving the alert.

“Our team promptly rescued the injured victim and transported him to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, while the deceased were taken to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital for further procedures,” Labaran stated.

He added that the crash involved six male individuals, resulting in two fatalities, one severe injury, and three survivors who escaped unhurt.

Investigation and Safety Advisory

Following the incident, the Gwagwarwa Police Division took custody of the damaged vehicles and recovered belongings for further investigation. Authorities continue to urge motorists to drive responsibly and comply with road safety regulations to avoid similar tragedies.

“The FRSC deeply regrets this unfortunate incident and extends heartfelt condolences to the affected families. We also wish the injured victim a speedy recovery,” Labaran added.
