Kwara United Slips to Another Home Defeat in the 2025 NPFL Season
Kwara United’s technical adviser, Coach Tunde Sanni, has voiced his deep frustration following his side’s disappointing 1-0 loss to Bendel Insurance during their recent NPFL (Nigeria Premier Football League) encounter.
The match took place on Sunday at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, located in the George Innih Stadium, Ilorin. The visiting side, Bendel Insurance, clinched the victory courtesy of a well-taken first-half goal by Kayode Oke.
Kwara United’s Poor Form Continues
This defeat further compounds Kwara United’s recent struggles. The team, popularly known as the Harmony Boys, have now registered just one win in their last five league fixtures — a worrying trend for their fans and technical crew alike.
Coach Sanni expressed his thoughts in a post-match press briefing:
“It’s painful to lose at home again. We’re experiencing hard luck lately, and it’s frustrating.”
The result leaves Kwara United in 11th place on the NPFL league table with 43 points, increasing pressure on the coaching team as the season approaches its closing stages.
A Call for Resilience and Focus
While Sanni highlighted the team’s misfortune, he also called for a renewed sense of resilience and focus as they prepare for their upcoming fixtures. The club needs to gather momentum to finish the season on a stronger note.
