Donald Trump Jr has strongly condemned a reported second leak involving a private Signal chatroom where sensitive U.S. military strategies were allegedly discussed. The revelations have intensified scrutiny over the ongoing turmoil within the Pentagon.
In a pointed reaction shared on X, Trump Jr denounced the individuals involved in the leak, saying:
“This guy is not America First. I’ve heard for years he works tirelessly to undermine my father’s mission. That ends today.”
Leaked Military Operations in Private Signal Chat
The controversy follows a report from The New York Times which alleged that U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth created a second Signal group to privately share classified details about an airstrike operation targeting Yemeni Houthi rebels. According to the article, the chat included Hegseth’s wife, brother, and several other non-officials — raising serious concerns about operational security breaches.
Information shared in the chat reportedly included flight schedules of F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets, which were instrumental in executing the military strikes. The data was also allegedly shared with another Signal group run by Mike Waltz, the national security adviser.

Former Pentagon Official Sounds the Alarm
Earlier, former Pentagon spokesperson John Ullyot expressed deep concern over the state of affairs within the defense department. In an opinion piece published by Politico, Ullyot described the Pentagon’s situation as a “full-blown meltdown,” attributing it to internal power struggles, staff dismissals, and leaks of high-level operational plans.
“The dysfunction is now a major distraction for the president, who deserves better leadership,” Ullyot wrote.
He also hinted that Secretary Pete Hegseth, at 44 years old, may soon be forced to resign if the crisis continues.
Growing Pressure on Pentagon Leadership
The emerging scandal comes amid calls for better accountability and stricter operational protocols within the Department of Defense. Political analysts suggest that these leaks could affect national security and may further destabilize public confidence in military leadership.
