US President Donald Trump has announced an exclusive residency program offering a high-value “Gold Card” visa for $5 million. This initiative aims to attract affluent investors and job creators while contributing to reducing the national deficit.
Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump described the new permit as an upgraded version of the traditional green card, emphasizing its financial and economic benefits.
“We’re launching the Gold Card program as a premium pathway to US residency. Unlike the green card, this will come with a $5 million price tag, ensuring only high-net-worth individuals gain access,” Trump stated.
A Gateway to US Citizenship for the Wealthy
As part of his second-term immigration policy, Trump reiterated his stance on deporting millions of undocumented immigrants while simultaneously providing an opportunity for wealthy investors to gain residency and work in the United States.

Russian Oligarchs May Qualify for the Gold Card
When questioned about the eligibility of wealthy Russian investors, Trump suggested they could participate in the program.
“I know some Russian oligarchs who are decent people. They may not be as wealthy as they once were, but I believe they can afford $5 million,” he commented.
