Chelsea Football Club is reportedly initiating talks to secure the signature of Feyenoord’s prolific striker, Anis Hadj-Moussa, during the ongoing January transfer window, according to reports from French media outlets.

The Paris-born forward has caught the eye with his impressive displays at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), representing Algeria. Despite Algeria being eliminated by Nigeria in the quarter-finals over the weekend, Hadj-Moussa’s performances have left a lasting impression on football fans across Europe.

This season, Hadj-Moussa has made a remarkable start with Feyenoord, contributing seven goals and three assists in 23 appearances, demonstrating his growing influence on the Dutch side. His ability to perform consistently at both club and international levels has raised interest from several top European clubs.

According to French football publication Foot Mercato, Hadj-Moussa’s AFCON performances have significantly increased his popularity among European football supporters. Chelsea, eager to strengthen their squad, have now reportedly joined the list of clubs pursuing the talented forward.

Sources reveal that Chelsea’s management has begun exploring the possibility of a winter transfer, with meetings already taking place between Hadj-Moussa’s agent, Mohamed Dahmane, and the club’s officials at Stamford Bridge. The Blues are actively seeking to reinforce their squad with young talents, and Hadj-Moussa has been identified as a key target to bolster their attacking options.

Feyenoord have been officially informed of Chelsea’s interest, and the club’s willingness to negotiate hinges on receiving an offer that meets their valuation. Transfer discussions suggest that a move in January could materialize if terms are satisfactory for all parties involved.

Meanwhile, French club Marseille has also expressed strong interest in Hadj-Moussa, fueling speculation that the 23-year-old striker might opt to join the Ligue 1 side at the Stade Vélodrome this month.

Hadj-Moussa, a product of the Lens Academy, has already played for five different clubs in his career, and he is set to celebrate his 24th birthday next month. His contract with Feyenoord remains valid until June 2030, giving the Dutch club a strong negotiating position.

As Chelsea continues to reinforce its squad in pursuit of domestic and European success, all eyes will be on whether Hadj-Moussa will make the move to Stamford Bridge this winter.
