In a bold move, media personality Toke Makinwa has strongly criticized Nigerian artist 2Baba for publicly revealing the end of his marriage to Annie. The announcement, made in a Sunday Instagram post, disclosed that the couple had been separated for a while and were now heading for divorce, bringing a close to their 12-year relationship.

Toke Makinwa, in response to the video 2Baba shared, expressed her disapproval, saying, “This is wrong on so many levels, and you should be ashamed of yourself for airing this out. If you think she’s alone in this, let me tell you, you’ll have to face all of us.”

The media personality didn’t stop there. She took to her Instagram story to call out those who were remaining neutral in the matter, urging women to stand up. “What’s wrong is wrong, and as women, if you sit on the fence here, it might not affect you now, but it’ll touch your daughter or any female in your family,” she wrote.

Makinwa further emphasized, “No one is innocent in this situation, and if the media gets involved, knowing the truth, we’ll be here to fight for her.”

The media mogul continued to voice her frustration on another Instagram story on Monday, questioning 2Baba’s decision to publicly share the details of his divorce. She emphasized that the complete truth would eventually come to light, adding, “Nobody is asking anyone to stay in a relationship that no longer serves them, but why bring this online right now?”

“People know what’s really going on behind closed doors, but the world has no clue. Opinions are flying everywhere, and when I say we will fight for her, I’m not talking about the general public. Only a few people know the truth. Timing is key, and empathy matters. You preach love, but you can’t contribute to the narrative when you know what’s really happening behind closed doors,” she added.
