Tinubu’s 2027 Victory Seems Certain with Yari, Kalu, Ganduje, and Ibori’s Backing – Lamido

Dr. Bashir Lamido, the pioneer leader of Arewa Summit International, has dismissed the possibility of President Bola Tinubu losing his bid for re-election in 2027. According to him, Tinubu’s chances of victory remain solid due to the influential political figures backing his campaign.

During a media briefing at the Abuja Expo and Ruhe Global Resources International Education Fair, Lamido highlighted the unwavering support of key politicians, including Abdul’aziz Yari, Orji Uzor Kalu, Abdullahi Ganduje, and James Ibori. He emphasized that their alignment with Tinubu significantly weakens the opposition, ensuring a stronghold for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Opposition Coalition Faces Internal Struggles

Lamido questioned the capability of the opposition to present a unified front against Tinubu in the 2027 election. He pointed out the internal crises within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), raising doubts about their ability to form a cohesive coalition. He further inquired whether the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has the potential to spearhead an effective alliance.

“Who will emerge as the opposition’s candidate? Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai, Yemi Osinbajo, Rotimi Amaechi, or Bukola Saraki? Each of them harbors presidential ambitions, making consensus difficult,” Lamido observed.

Tinubu’s Strategic Alliances Ensure Victory

According to Lamido, President Tinubu has strategically strengthened his alliances. He dismissed speculation that key figures like Yari, Kalu, and Ibori might defect to the opposition, asserting that they remain committed to Tinubu. He also referenced efforts by Nasir El-Rufai to create division between Tinubu and Ganduje, which ultimately failed.

“Now, these leaders have solidified their support for Tinubu. They are all capable of running for president themselves, yet they stand firmly behind him. This level of unity gives Tinubu a significant advantage,” Lamido added.

Economic Reforms and Public Hardship

While acknowledging economic hardships resulting from Tinubu’s policies, Lamido argued that these difficulties are temporary. He reassured that in the long term, the economic restructuring will yield positive results, stabilizing Nigeria’s economy.

He also noted that Tinubu’s allies are already working on grassroots mobilization, with Yari focusing on the North and Kalu extending his influence beyond the South. According to Lamido, their coordinated efforts demonstrate a well-structured plan for ensuring Tinubu’s victory in 2027.

Conclusion

With the backing of influential political figures and a strategic campaign approach, President Bola Tinubu’s path to re-election appears secure. As opposition parties struggle with internal discord, APC’s strong alliances and grassroots mobilization further cement Tinubu’s chances of retaining power in 2027.
