Tinubu Travels to Europe Ahead of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Summit 2026

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has embarked on a trip to Europe on Sunday as part of his end-of-year recess, ahead of his upcoming official engagement in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Nigerian leader is expected to attend the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit, following a formal invitation extended by the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This high-profile summit is set to take place in early January and will gather international leaders, industry experts, and policymakers to deliberate on sustainable development and global environmental initiatives.

According to a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the summit is a weeklong event designed to foster collaboration among governments, businesses, and civil society organizations. The discussions will aim to advance global strategies and partnerships that promote sustainability, innovation, and inclusive economic growth.

The 2026 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week will be held under the theme, “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go”.
