President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is leading the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chambers in the State House, Abuja.
Notably absent from this session is Vice President Kashim Shettima, who is in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, attending the commissioning of a $315 million oil production and storage facility.
Additionally, the two key Foreign Affairs ministers, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar and the Minister of State, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, are also missing from the meeting.
However, several high-ranking officials are present, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume; Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu; and the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack. Other Council members are also in attendance.
This meeting underscores the administration’s continued focus on governance despite international engagements by key leaders.
