President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in the United Arab Emirates in preparation for the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) summit, a globally recognized forum focused on sustainable development and innovation.
The Nigerian leader landed in the UAE at approximately 11:00 p.m. local time, where he was formally welcomed by the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, marking the beginning of his official participation in the high-level international gathering.
According to the presidential aide, the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is an annual global platform that convenes world leaders, policymakers, investors, and business executives to deliberate on strategies for sustainable growth, renewable energy, climate resilience, and economic transformation.
This year’s summit carries the theme “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go,” highlighting the urgent need for integrated solutions across energy, technology, infrastructure, and governance systems to drive long-term sustainability.
LMSINT MEDIA reports that President Tinubu’s participation underscores Nigeria’s growing interest in global sustainability discussions, particularly in areas relating to energy transition, environmental responsibility, and international partnerships.
The Nigerian President is expected to return to the country after the conclusion of the week-long summit, following the completion of scheduled meetings and discussions at the event.
