Tinubu Appoints Ganduje, Afikuyomi, and Others as Board Chairpersons

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Abdullahi Ganduje, Tokunbo Afikuyomi, and others as federal board chairpersons to strengthen Nigeria’s public sector leadership.

President Bola Tinubu has officially approved the appointment of chairpersons and chief executives for 42 federal organizations, alongside the secretary to the board of the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services.

This announcement was made by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, through a statement on Friday, noting that the appointments are effective immediately.

Additionally, a new Managing Director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a Director-General for the National Board for Technology Incubation have also been named.

President Tinubu’s Directives

The president has instructed the newly appointed board chairpersons to focus on their non-executive roles and avoid interference in the day-to-day management of their respective organizations. This directive aims to ensure operational efficiency and clarity of responsibilities.
