Prominent Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, has publicly criticized Morocco’s national airline, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), for allegedly misplacing his luggage during a recent trip.
Dakolo voiced his frustration through a viral video posted on his verified Instagram account on Thursday, where he narrated the ordeal of his missing belongings.
“On June 26th, I traveled from Lagos to Morocco en route to Freetown. I clearly saw my bag from my seat on the plane because I was flying business class, and passengers like us have priority luggage handling. They assured me that my luggage would be loaded, yet it wasn’t,” Dakolo stated in the video.
“After arriving in Freetown and not finding my luggage, I filed a form, made repeated calls, sent emails, and reported the issue to Nahco. But since June 26th, I haven’t received my bag. Frankly, it feels like they have stolen my property. Royal Air Maroc, I am demanding the return of my full luggage. It is not just any kind of bag,” he emphasized.
Adding his voice to the matter, popular media personality Daddy Freeze also took to his Instagram page, urging the airline to take swift action.
“Royal Air Maroc, what is really going on with Timi Dakolo’s luggage? This is unacceptable. I urge the relevant authorities to intervene and ensure the luggage is returned to its rightful owner,” Daddy Freeze appealed.
This incident highlights a recurring issue many travelers face with international airlines regarding luggage mishandling and loss, raising concerns about airline accountability and customer service.
