ABUJA— A Federal High Court in Abuja has ruled against the legalization of prostitution in Nigeria, dismissing a lawsuit filed by commercial sex workers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The escalating political crisis in Rivers State has taken a new turn, with Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Chief Nyesom Wike, downplaying concerns over threats from Ijaw-linked militant groups. Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, has alleged that Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), may soon switch allegiance to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
