Deji Adeyanju Criticizes Pastor Ibiyeomie Over Threats to Critics

Human rights advocate and legal practitioner, Deji Adeyanju, has harshly criticized Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, for issuing threats to detain individuals who post unfavorable comments or reports about him. According to a report from LMSINT MEDIA, the popular cleric was seen in a now-viral video accusing anonymous bloggers of intentionally misrepresenting his sermons. He also alleged that some church attendees were aiding these bloggers in spreading misinformation. In the footage, Pastor Ibiyeomie emphasized his readiness to act decisively against anyone he believes is attempting to undermine him. He maintained that no amount of pleading would dissuade him once the line is crossed. “People often plead with me after I confront them. This is your final warning. There won’t be another. If you try it again, there will be no room for leniency,” he stated. He continued by targeting a particular individual, saying: “Young man, I know you and your parents. They won’t even attempt to beg on your behalf. I’ll ensure you’re dealt with accordingly.” He then commented on the duality of public opinion: “People are always divided—some support me, others don’t. But I always have a majority behind me.” He warned those who have consistently criticized him: “If I respond aggressively, people say a man of God shouldn’t arrest critics or curse them. But if you provoke me, I will involve the police. I don’t care what anyone says. No spiritual intervention will work for you if you meddle in my affairs.” The pastor went on to prohibit coverage of his church by bloggers: “Stop reporting anything about me. Your coverage doesn’t add to my popularity—I’m already reaching the world. Whether good or bad, I don’t want your stories. Don’t cover our messages.” He alleged that certain individuals were embedded within the congregation to distort his teachings: “You’re inside the church, not to learn or receive blessings, but to misquote and spread falsehoods. You twist my words and mislead the public.” Concluding with a direct threat, he declared: “My kind of gospel? If you slap me, I’ll strike back first. I am not your conventional pastor. Young man, I will confront you.” In response to this outburst, Deji Adeyanju, through his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, expressed strong disappointment. He accused the clergyman of portraying Christianity in a negative light. “I’m truly disheartened by Papa David Ibiyeomie’s threats toward Nigerians who criticize him or his church. Why should your church be immune to scrutiny? Even Jesus Christ was criticized, yet He never threatened to imprison anyone,” Adeyanju remarked. He further stated: “Bragging about using the police to silence critics is unbecoming of a pastor. These actions make many question the authenticity of today’s church leaders. They are acting in ways that alienate believers and are turning people away from the Christian faith.”

NAF Eliminates Over 20 Terrorists, Stops Civilian Attack in Zamfara

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully taken out more than 20 heavily armed terrorists and destroyed over 21 motorcycles during a strategic air interdiction mission in Zamfara State. In an official statement released by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the operation took place in a location south of Mai-Galma in the Maru Local Government Area. The primary goal of the mission was to disrupt a planned large-scale assault by armed bandits targeting unprotected rural communities. Based on actionable intelligence, NAF command learned that a large number of terrorists were regrouping in preparation for an imminent attack on unsuspecting villages. The statement further noted that the armed group had already committed heinous acts, including the killing of farmers and kidnapping of civilians, among them women and children. In response, NAF deployed combat aircraft under Operation FANSAN YAMMA to carry out armed reconnaissance and to potentially rescue abducted civilians. During the aerial mission, NAF surveillance identified over 30 motorcycles transporting terrorists into the forest. When they spotted the aircraft, the terrorists opened fire. This prompted a precise counterattack, which led to the destruction of multiple motorcycles and the elimination of a significant number of the assailants. NAF confirmed that ground troops were immediately dispatched to capitalize on the airstrike’s impact. These troops validated the destruction of enemy vehicles and confirmed that more than 20 terrorists had been neutralized in the process. Unfortunately, the operation also resulted in casualties among local security support. Two vigilante members were killed, and two others were injured during the exchange of gunfire.

The Osun State Amotekun Corps has firmly denied allegations that its personnel arrested traditional chiefs in Itapa, Atakumosa East Local Government Area. In a statement released on Monday, signed by Corps Commander Isaac Omoyele and Public Relations Officer Yusuf Idowu Abass, the security outfit described the claims as false and politically motivated. It further claimed that these individuals were initially granted bail but were subsequently rearrested by Field Commander Adekunle Omoyele. Rivers Political Feud: Fubara’s Actions Moved Me to Tears – Wike Opens Up

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Monday shared an emotional revelation about how suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara caused him to shed tears. During a monthly press conference in Abuja, the former governor of Rivers State reflected on the deeply personal and political betrayal he experienced. He recounted how reviewing Fubara’s past public statements about him stirred emotions and brought him to tears. Wike, who governed Rivers State for two consecutive terms, revealed that he was the driving force behind Fubara’s emergence as governor, despite significant pushback from other political stakeholders within the state. Shortly after Fubara assumed office in 2023, tensions escalated between the two political figures. The power struggle severely impacted governance in Rivers State, leading President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to declare a six-month state of emergency. During this period, the president suspended the governor, his deputy, and members of the state assembly and appointed a sole administrator to manage the affairs of the state. In a surprising turn of events, Fubara recently visited Wike to seek peace and reconciliation. Wike, while addressing the media, said: “When I go back in my quiet moments, I play the video of speeches of the governor (Fubara), what he said; what he did to me; I weep. Was it necessary? This was somebody who brought you, gave you food, gave you everything, did this for you, and then you became a tool for his enemies to fight him.”

During the inauguration of eight new duplexes at the Commissioners’ Quarters in Asaba, the governor emphasized that lackluster performance would not be tolerated. He highlighted that initiative, visibility, and tangible results are the benchmarks for retaining positions within his cabinet. Governor Oborevwori recounted informing one commissioner of their inadequate performance, stating, “As a commissioner, we don’t see you. You talk, carry your memo, and look for the Governor, because the Governor will not come looking for you.” He stressed that proactive engagement and energy are essential for effective governance. The governor further clarified that while there are rumors about dissolving the State Executive Council, there is no such plan. However, he reiterated that commissioners who fail to meet performance expectations would be relieved of their duties. He underscored the importance of accountability, stating that any issues within a ministry reflect directly on the commissioner in charge.

Nyesom Wike to Lead Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election Campaign in Rivers State

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared his intention to spearhead President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign in Rivers State for the 2027 presidential election. This announcement underscores Wike’s continued political influence and his commitment to ensuring the South retains the presidency. During a media chat in Abuja on June 2, 2025, Wike addressed questions regarding his role in the upcoming election. He emphasized his dedication to President Tinubu’s success, stating, “I have told you this before, is it because I am in Asiwaju’s presidency? Are you not aware I will lead his campaign in Rivers State? You want me to say no?” Wike also highlighted President Tinubu’s previous performance in the FCT, noting that he secured less than 10% of the votes in the 2023 election. He expressed confidence in a significant improvement, asserting that Tinubu would win in the FCT in the upcoming election. Addressing his political affiliations, Wike reaffirmed his membership in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) despite his collaboration with the APC-led federal government. He stated, “No one will take me from the party. I’m a member. In fact, I’ll lead the PDP campaign in Rivers by 2027.” Wike’s dual roles have sparked discussions about his political stance. He has been vocal about internal challenges within the PDP and has criticized certain party leaders. Despite these tensions, he maintains that his loyalty to the PDP remains steadfast. In his remarks, Wike also addressed criticisms from former Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi, who had accused him of seeking power. Wike dismissed these claims, emphasizing his commitment to delivering electoral success for President Tinubu.

Rhapsody of Realities June 2nd 2025, YOUR LIFE IS DIFFERENT

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Many today have been conditioned to expect certain ailments or health challenges when they get to a certain age in life. They’ve been told that between ages 45 and 50 their bodies will begin to slow down, certain pains will set in, and at age 60, heart problems may arise. These conclusions have been drawn from mere human wisdom and experience, not divine truth. As a child of God, your life is different; you’re not an ordinary person. You’re not subject to the limitations and corrupting influences of this world. Never accept the verdict from man’s limited knowledge stemming from the wisdom of this world with respect to your health. Your body is not subject to the elements of this world and the vagaries of nature. You’re in Christ and from Christ where divinity rules. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” This means no inherited sickness or weakness, because you’re born of God, inundated with eternal life. Your identity is not in your earthly lineage. It doesn’t matter what ran in your biological family—heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.—those things have no hold on you! You’re a new creation in Christ, born into a new family—the family of God. If sickness tries to attach itself to your body, you say, “In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I rebuke this sickness. I remove it from my body!” Your words have power; use them to establish your divine health. Take charge of your body. Speak in tongues and charge your spirit and then give the Word concerning your health. Your body will respond to the Word of God. You belong to the divine class, full of the life of God! Even now, say, “I refuse to be sick. I live above age-related or environment-related conditions. My blood pressure is normal, my heart is perfect, and all my organs function perfectly. I walk in divine health and strength all my days, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.” PRAYERDear Father, thank you for the reality of my divine nature in Christ. I refuse to accept the limitations, sicknesses, and conditions that the world prescribes. My body is full of life, health and strength. No infirmity can thrive in me because the Spirit of God quickens my body. I live victoriously, walking in divine health and supernatural vitality, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Rio Ferdinand Reveals Next Ideal Signings for Manchester United After Matheus Cunha Transfer

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has urged the club to prioritize signing an experienced striker during the ongoing transfer window. In a direct message to his former club, Ferdinand emphasized the need for swift action in bolstering the squad. His remarks came after United secured the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers. Speaking on his official YouTube channel, Ferdinand stressed that the Red Devils should aim to bring in a seasoned forward, along with reinforcements in midfield and at right-back. According to TBR Football, the ex-England international refrained from naming specific strikers, stating: “If I were on the recruitment team now, or advising them in any way, I would urge them not to overlook the need for a proven number nine. I’m not going to name names—I’ve already done that repeatedly. I’d also target a midfielder. Someone who can control possession, distribute accurately, and orchestrate the play… So the next two additions should be a central striker and a central midfielder—plus a right back.” Manchester United are reportedly paying £62.5 million to Wolverhampton for Cunha, who was also previously linked with a move to Arsenal. Interestingly, Cunha was a long-time fan of Manchester United during his childhood, making the transfer a personal dream fulfilled.

Tinubu Advised to Restructure Cabinet by YPP’s Ado-Ibrahim

Malik Ado-Ibrahim, the Young Progressives Party (YPP) presidential flagbearer in Nigeria’s 2023 elections, has expressed concerns over President Bola Tinubu’s current cabinet composition. He urged the president to carry out a significant reshuffle of his ministerial team. During an appearance on Channels Television’s political affairs program, Sunday Politics, Ado-Ibrahim shared his thoughts about the effectiveness of those currently surrounding the Nigerian president. According to Ado-Ibrahim, President Tinubu’s inability to bring his strategic vision to life is directly tied to the team of individuals he has appointed into positions of authority. “From my perspective, most members of the current cabinet have reached their limit and should be replaced,” he remarked. He further stated that no individual holds a monopoly on wisdom, suggesting that more capable individuals could be brought in to drive national objectives more efficiently. “No matter how much one knows, it’s unrealistic to believe others don’t know better. There are smarter individuals out there. What I’m offering is an opinion—and that opinion is clear: the president should revamp the cabinet to restore public confidence,” he added. Ado-Ibrahim emphasized the importance of having ministers who are not just nominally appointed but are well-suited for administration and execution of policies. “The president needs a proper strategy, and more importantly, he should assign roles to those who can execute those strategies—not just hand someone a ministerial title and expect them to perform without guidance. You can’t just appoint someone as Minister of Health and expect things to magically improve. You need a competent administrator,” he concluded.

Two Abia Communities Trade Accusations as Hoodlums Vandalize Secondary School in Umuahia

The President General of the Okauigo Nkwoegwu Improvement Union, Uzomba Ekwuruibe, has voiced concern over the extensive damage inflicted upon the Okauiga Nkwoegwu Community Secondary School, located in the Ohuhu region of Umuahia North Local Government Area, Abia State. In a statement issued to the press, Ekwuruibe reported that the culprits allegedly infiltrated the community from the neighboring Amachara community in Umuahia South LGA. He claimed that the assailants launched attacks on Umunenweze and other nearby villages within the Okauiga Nkwoegwu community. Armed with dane guns, cutlasses, and hammers, they proceeded to wreak havoc on the school premises, leaving significant damage behind. According to the community leader, after the destructive rampage, the perpetrators were reportedly overheard expressing confidence, suggesting that they were acting under the backing of certain influential figures and high-ranking officials in government. Ekwuruibe made an urgent plea to the Abia State Government and security authorities, urging them to investigate the incident thoroughly, apprehend the offenders, and bring them to justice. He also encouraged members of his community to stay calm and law-abiding while waiting for the appropriate legal actions to be taken against those involved. However, in response to these claims, the leadership of the Amachara Welfare Association—specifically President Amarachukwu Uchendu and Secretary Ekeledo Obioma—categorically denied all allegations. They maintained that the Amachara community is composed of peace-loving residents and insisted that their people had no hand in any plan or action that led to the vandalism of the school. According to them, the Okauiga Nkwoegwu Community Secondary School had long fallen into disrepair, especially since it was relocated to the Nkwoegwu Central School years ago. The Amachara leadership called on the Abia State Government and the wider public to disregard any association of their community with the destruction of the facility.
