Lagos State’s Rapid Response Squad (RRS), under the command of the Lagos State Police Command II, has arrested a 20-year-old suspect, Safiyanu Abubakar, for allegedly vandalizing homes by removing aluminum windows and electrical wires. The arrest occurred on Monday, June 2, 2025, and was officially confirmed by the Lagos State Police via their verified X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday. According to the official police statement, the young man was apprehended in the Eyita Estate area of Itamaga, Ikorodu, a residential neighborhood in Lagos State, Nigeria. The RRS operatives revealed that Abubakar was allegedly caught in the act as he moved from one house to another, dismantling windows and stripping buildings of electricity cables. “Our operatives arrested a suspected vandal yesterday in Eyita Estate, Itamaga, Ikorodu,” the police post read. “He was seen unlawfully removing aluminum window frames and electrical wiring from multiple homes in the area.” Following his apprehension, the suspect was immediately taken into police custody at the scene of the incident. According to a report from LMSINT MEDIA, the popular cleric was seen in a now-viral video accusing anonymous bloggers of intentionally misrepresenting his sermons. He also alleged that some church attendees were aiding these bloggers in spreading misinformation. In the footage, Pastor Ibiyeomie emphasized his readiness to act decisively against anyone he believes is attempting to undermine him. He maintained that no amount of pleading would dissuade him once the line is crossed. “People often plead with me after I confront them. This is your final warning. There won’t be another. If you try it again, there will be no room for leniency,” he stated. He continued by targeting a particular individual, saying: “Young man, I know you and your parents. They won’t even attempt to beg on your behalf. I’ll ensure you’re dealt with accordingly.” He then commented on the duality of public opinion: “People are always divided—some support me, others don’t. According to reliable sources, the victims were en route from Gidan Hussaini to Sabon Garin Hussaini when the canoe they were traveling in capsized. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully taken out more than 20 heavily armed terrorists and destroyed over 21 motorcycles during a strategic air interdiction mission in Zamfara State. In an official statement released by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the operation took place in a location south of Mai-Galma in the Maru Local Government Area. The primary goal of the mission was to disrupt a planned large-scale assault by armed bandits targeting unprotected rural communities. Based on actionable intelligence, NAF command learned that a large number of terrorists were regrouping in preparation for an imminent attack on unsuspecting villages. The statement further noted that the armed group had already committed heinous acts, including the killing of farmers and kidnapping of civilians, among them women and children. In response, NAF deployed combat aircraft under Operation FANSAN YAMMA to carry out armed reconnaissance and to potentially rescue abducted civilians. During the aerial mission, NAF surveillance identified over 30 motorcycles transporting terrorists into the forest. When they spotted the aircraft, the terrorists opened fire. This prompted a precise counterattack, which led to the destruction of multiple motorcycles and the elimination of a significant number of the assailants. NAF confirmed that ground troops were immediately dispatched to capitalize on the airstrike’s impact. These troops validated the destruction of enemy vehicles and confirmed that more than 20 terrorists had been neutralized in the process. They’ve been told that between ages 45 and 50 their bodies will begin to slow down, certain pains will set in, and at age 60, heart problems may arise. These conclusions have been drawn from mere human wisdom and experience, not divine truth. As a child of God, your life is different; you’re not an ordinary person. You’re not subject to the limitations and corrupting influences of this world. Never accept the verdict from man’s limited knowledge stemming from the wisdom of this world with respect to your health. Your body is not subject to the elements of this world and the vagaries of nature. You’re in Christ and from Christ where divinity rules. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” This means no inherited sickness or weakness, because you’re born of God, inundated with eternal life. Your identity is not in your earthly lineage. It doesn’t matter what ran in your biological family—heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.—those things have no hold on you! You’re a new creation in Christ, born into a new family—the family of God. If sickness tries to attach itself to your body, you say, “In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I rebuke this sickness. I remove it from my body!” Your words have power; use them to establish your divine health. Take charge of your body. Speak in tongues and charge your spirit and then give the Word concerning your health. Your body will respond to the Word of God. You belong to the divine class, full of the life of God! He urged the president to carry out a significant reshuffle of his ministerial team. During an appearance on Channels Television’s political affairs program, Sunday Politics, Ado-Ibrahim shared his thoughts about the effectiveness of those currently surrounding the Nigerian president. According to Ado-Ibrahim, President Tinubu’s inability to bring his strategic vision to life is directly tied to the team of individuals he has appointed into positions of authority. “From my perspective, most members of the current cabinet have reached their limit and should be replaced,” he remarked. He further stated that no individual holds a monopoly on wisdom, suggesting that more capable individuals could be brought in to drive national objectives more efficiently. “No matter how much one knows, it’s unrealistic to believe others don’t know better. There are smarter individuals out there. What I’m offering is an opinion—and that opinion is clear: the president should revamp the cabinet to restore public confidence,” he added. Ado-Ibrahim emphasized the importance of having ministers who are not just nominally appointed but are well-suited for administration and execution of policies. “The president needs a proper strategy, and more importantly, he should assign roles to those who can execute those strategies—not just hand someone a ministerial title and expect them to perform without guidance. The President General of the Okauigo Nkwoegwu Improvement Union, Uzomba Ekwuruibe, has voiced concern over the extensive damage inflicted upon the Okauiga Nkwoegwu Community Secondary School, located in the Ohuhu region of Umuahia North Local Government Area, Abia State. In a statement issued to the press, Ekwuruibe reported that the culprits allegedly infiltrated the community from the neighboring Amachara community in Umuahia South LGA. He claimed that the assailants launched attacks on Umunenweze and other nearby villages within the Okauiga Nkwoegwu community. Armed with dane guns, cutlasses, and hammers, they proceeded to wreak havoc on the school premises, leaving significant damage behind. According to the community leader, after the destructive rampage, the perpetrators were reportedly overheard expressing confidence, suggesting that they were acting under the backing of certain influential figures and high-ranking officials in government. Ekwuruibe made an urgent plea to the Abia State Government and security authorities, urging them to investigate the incident thoroughly, apprehend the offenders, and bring them to justice. He also encouraged members of his community to stay calm and law-abiding while waiting for the appropriate legal actions to be taken against those involved. However, in response to these claims, the leadership of the Amachara Welfare Association—specifically President Amarachukwu Uchendu and Secretary Ekeledo Obioma—categorically denied all allegations. They maintained that the Amachara community is composed of peace-loving residents and insisted that their people had no hand in any plan or action that led to the vandalism of the school. According to them, the Okauiga Nkwoegwu Community Secondary School had long fallen into disrepair, especially since it was relocated to the Nkwoegwu Central School years ago. The Amachara leadership called on the Abia State Government and the wider public to disregard any association of their community with the destruction of the facility.
