Nigeria to Go Fully Digital in Civil Service by December 2025: FG Launches Civil Service Week Activities

The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), has officially declared a strategic roadmap to eliminate paper-based processes and adopt a fully digital system across the civil service by December 31, 2025. Government Pushes for a Paperless Civil Service At a press briefing held in Abuja, Dr. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, emphasized that this transformation is in line with the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP 2021–2025). We’re now fast-tracking digital adoption across all MDAs,” she stated. As of now, 11 ministries, including the Federal Ministry of Health, have deployed Enterprise Content Management Systems (ECMS). More ministries are in various stages of implementation, with support from strategic partners helping to fund this digital leap. Timeline for Full Digitization The government has set an ambitious deadline — December 31, 2025 — for a complete shift to a paperless civil service. 2025 Civil Service Week & African Public Service Day Events In addition to the digital agenda, the Nigerian government also unveiled a full schedule of events to commemorate: First-Ever International Civil Service Conference (ICSC) A key highlight of the week will be the inaugural International Civil Service Conference (ICSC), scheduled for June 25–26, 2025 in Abuja. Rhapsody of Realities June 11th 2025, YOUR ROLE IN BUILDING HIS CHURCH

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones (Ephesians 5:30). We’re the body of Christ. We’re members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. We’re intimately connected to Him and to one another. In 1 Corinthians 12:26-27, Paul further explains this unity: “And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” This means that every Christian has a specific role and function within the body of Christ. When one part of the body is affected, the entire body feels it. We’re not isolated individuals but interconnected members of the same body—Christ’s body. Ephesians 1:22-23 reveals the power and authority given to the Church: “And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body….” The Church, being the body of Christ, carries His authority and power on earth. Ephesians 4:11-12 gives us an insight into how He builds His Church today: “And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” The word “edifying” means “building”; it’s the same word the Lord Jesus used when He said, “…I will build my church…” (Matthew 16:18). Through the fivefold ministry offices and the work of every Christian, He builds His Church. The whole body grows by that which every joint supplies: “From him the whole body…grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work” (Ephesians 4:16 NIV). Every time a soul is won, it’s like adding another block to the building. Those who minister are like builders, placing each block in its proper place. Each Christian is a specific member of the body—the building. Together, we’re building a magnificent structure, the body of Christ. As we continue to win souls and grow, the Church becomes more beautiful and impactful, reflecting the glory of Christ. This isn’t a task for a select few but for every Christian. Each of us has a role to play, and together, we’re building something extraordinary for God’s glory. PRAYERDear Father, I understand my role and actively participate in building your Church. I’m graced to win souls and strengthened to fulfil my calling. I declare that your Church shines as a beacon of hope and power in the world, as it is a praise in the earth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY1 Corinthians 12:26-27 NIVIf one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. Ephesians 2:19-22Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner [stone]; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. Colossians 1:18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence. Cult Violence in Makurdi Leaves 3 Dead and Several Homes Burned in Wadata and Iniongun

Violence broke out once again in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, Nigeria, as rival cult groups clashed, resulting in the death of three people, serious injuries to others, and widespread property destruction. What Sparked the Cult Clash in Makurdi? According to local sources, the chain of violence began during the wake-keep of a retired military officer, Odoba Edoh, in Wadata. During the event, suspected cultists opened fire, killing three individuals believed to be affiliated with a rival group. One additional person was critically injured and is currently receiving medical treatment at a Makurdi hospital. This shocking incident triggered a wave of reprisal attacks across the area. Tuesday Night Attack in Iniongun: Innocent Residents Affected At approximately 9:00 PM on Tuesday, a heavily armed cult faction stormed the Iniongun area, targeting properties believed to harbor members of a rival cult group. The assailants set fire to several buildings in what eyewitnesses described as a coordinated and premeditated attack. Unfortunately, many of the homes set ablaze belonged to innocent landlords and tenants. These individuals were reportedly unaware that their properties were being rented out to suspected cult members, making them unintended victims of the ongoing turf war. “They just attacked homes blindly. The real targets were not even in those houses,” a resident told local reporters. Wadata Rice Mill Incident: More Violence Unfolds The aftermath of the wake-keep shooting led to further bloodshed. On Tuesday morning, two men believed to be associated with the cult group responsible for the wake-keep violence were attacked with machetes near the Rice Mill area of Wadata. While both men sustained life-threatening injuries, they managed to escape the scene alive. Community Reactions: Fear and Insecurity Grow There is a growing sense of fear in both Wadata and Iniongun. Local residents are calling on security agencies to step up efforts to curb the rising tide of cult-related violence and ensure the safety of innocent civilians. Internal Security Concerns Authorities have yet to release an official statement. However, this is not the first time cult clashes have rocked Makurdi. The recurring nature of these violent confrontations raises serious questions about the effectiveness of local policing and intelligence operations. Call to Action Makurdi residents are urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious movements to the nearest security agencies. Amaechi Criticizes Tinubu’s Government, Signals Readiness for 2027 Showdown

In a bold political statement, Rotimi Amaechi, Nigeria’s former Minister of Transportation and ex-Governor of Rivers State, has voiced sharp criticism against the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Amaechi expressed his discontent with the current state of the nation and declared his readiness to support a unified opposition coalition aimed at unseating Tinubu during the 2027 general elections. “Tinubu’s Leadership Is Failing Nigeria” – Amaechi During an exclusive interview with BBC News, Amaechi did not hold back his concerns. He emphasized that economic hardship has worsened under Tinubu’s leadership and that ordinary Nigerians, including himself, are bearing the brunt. “People are dying. People are starving. I myself am feeling the effects of hunger,” Amaechi lamented. Despite being a loyal member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the former minister affirmed that allegiance to a political party should never override truth and accountability. “If the government is failing the country, you don’t just go along because you’re in the same party. That’s not right,” he said. Coalition Gathers Momentum: Amaechi, Atiku, El-Rufai Unite The opposition coalition seeking to challenge Tinubu’s re-election bid is already gaining traction. At a high-profile event celebrating Amaechi’s 60th birthday in Abuja, prominent figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai were in attendance. At the celebration, the trio—Amaechi, Atiku, and El-Rufai—voiced a unified accusation that President Tinubu is weaponizing poverty as a political tool, further plunging the country into hardship. Analysis: APC Faces Internal Crisis Amaechi’s public criticism highlights the growing fractures within the APC and points to a brewing political revolution ahead of the 2027 elections. With key players aligning across party lines, the ruling party may face serious challenges if the coalition solidifies. Rotimi Amaechi’s open rebuke of the Tinubu administration adds significant weight to growing concerns about governance and hardship in Nigeria. His potential involvement in a 2027 opposition coalition could reshape the political landscape as dissatisfaction rises among both citizens and party insiders.

Tinubu Vows Continued Service to Nigerians Despite Opposition Criticism

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated his commitment to the Nigerian people, stating firmly that criticisms from opposition voices will not derail his mission to transform the nation. The President made this declaration during the commissioning of key infrastructure projects in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. Driving Nigeria’s Progress Through Infrastructure Tinubu emphasized that unlocking Nigeria’s full economic and social potential depends on strategic investments in essential infrastructure such as roads, rail networks, electricity, healthcare systems, and education. While speaking at the inauguration of the Arterial Road N16 (Shehu Shagari Way)—stretching from Ring Road One (Nnamdi Azikiwe Way) to Arterial Road N20 (Wole Soyinka Road)—and adjoining roads in the Katampe District of Abuja, the President made clear that these efforts are part of a broader vision to uplift urban areas and improve connectivity. The Vision Behind the Renewed Hope Agenda Since taking office in May 2023, Tinubu’s administration has operated under the Renewed Hope Agenda, a reform-driven policy framework aimed at regenerating national assets and institutions. The newly commissioned road corridor, despite its strategic location in the Abuja master plan, had remained undeveloped for decades. Tinubu noted that his administration is now delivering on long-overdue projects that reflect both purpose and vision. “This is more than just a road; it’s a symbol of our dedication to urban revitalization and national growth,” Tinubu declared. Infrastructure as a National Priority The President described infrastructure as not merely a luxury, but a critical foundation for economic development, social cohesion, and competitive progress. He added, “Every government wants development. But successful implementation depends on our ability to organize, execute, and gain the trust of the people.” Tinubu also thanked the Minister of the FCT for ensuring a peaceful community relocation process with fair compensation, showcasing an example of people-centric governance. Why This Matters to Everyday Nigerians The development of roadways and other infrastructure in Abuja is expected to significantly: Such projects are vital for creating jobs, attracting investments, and improving the standard of living across the FCT and beyond. A Legacy of Service Amidst Criticism Despite being targeted by political critics and naysayers, President Tinubu made it clear that his loyalty remains with the Nigerian people. “We are here today because of the trust you placed in us. We are committed to repaying that trust through meaningful development,” he affirmed. This statement reinforces Tinubu’s stance that leadership must be about service—not distractions. President Tinubu’s actions in Abuja are a direct reflection of his administration’s priorities: reform, regeneration, and results. Through projects like the Arterial Road N16 and others across Nigeria, his vision for a transformed nation is steadily becoming a reality.

Afrobeats Star Magixx: Fear of Embarrassment is the Real Dream Killer

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation and Mavin Records artist, Magixx, has dropped some powerful advice for aspiring creatives and young professionals alike — fear of embarrassment might just be the biggest obstacle between you and success. In a recent appearance on the popular Hip TV show, Trending, the Love Don’t Cost a Dime crooner got candid about how self-doubt and fear often paralyze many talented individuals from making progress in life. “If you’re afraid of embarrassment, you will never make it in life,” Magixx said. According to the rising star, talent alone isn’t enough — what sets successful people apart is their willingness to step out, take risks, and embrace both wins and failures along the way. Why People Fail to Maximize Their Potential Magixx emphasized that many people with promising talents still find themselves stuck — not because they lack opportunities, but because they’re too afraid to make mistakes or be judged by others. He argued that there’s a popular misconception that “more talented people” exist outside the industry but remain unseen due to external factors. He believes this narrative is misleading. “People say there’s someone better out there, but there’s nobody better out there. The person in that position deserves it. God doesn’t make mistakes,” Magixx explained. This statement resonates with the reality of many industries — from music to business — where execution and confidence often outweigh raw talent. Talent Isn’t Enough — Execution is Key The artist further debunked the idea that there’s an endless stream of untapped talent waiting for a break. In his words: “Talent isn’t plenty outside. If it was, the world would have seen it by now. Many people mismanage their blessings.” This bold but honest take is a wake-up call for anyone sitting on their dreams. Your gift will only take you as far as your courage allows. Taking Action Without Fear of Judgment Magixx’s philosophy aligns with what many motivational leaders believe — fear of failure and public embarrassment often sabotage more dreams than actual failure ever could. As one expert article from Psychology Today confirms, fear of failure keeps people stuck and afraid to grow. Letting go of this fear is critical for achieving goals in any walk of life. Final Thoughts: Believe, Act, Grow Magixx’s message is clear: The world rewards bravery, persistence, and self-belief. If you’re holding back because you’re worried about failing in public, you may never discover how far your potential could take you. So whether you’re pursuing music, starting a business, or launching a personal brand — remember:Don’t let the fear of embarrassment stop you from making your mark.
