Controversial Nigerian musician, Speed Darlington, has broken his silence following his recent loss to Portable in a celebrity boxing event titled Chaos in the Rings, held on Friday night.
According to LMSINT MEDIA‘s coverage of the match, the showdown between the two artists ended in victory for Portable. However, the aftermath of the fight sparked even more attention when Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy gifted Portable ₦20 million as a reward for his win.
Reacting to the gesture, Darlington, who has had ongoing tensions with Burna Boy, alleged that Portable used “juju” to secure the win, suggesting foul play in the match. He took to Instagram on Sunday to express his frustrations and throw shade at Burna Boy, whom he mockingly refers to as “Long Face” – a nickname stemming from their previous legal and personal conflicts.
“Nobody watches you more than your enemy. Because they wanna know if you are doing well. Long Face sleeps on my page. His whole life is now checking up on me,” Darlington posted.
This reaction adds another layer to the ongoing drama between Darlington and Burna Boy. The feud, which has persisted across multiple platforms, now sees new fuel as the singer believes Burna is overly invested in monitoring his every move online.
The incident reflects the increasingly theatrical nature of celebrity boxing in Nigeria, where entertainment, rivalry, and publicity intersect. As these matches gain popularity, fans remain eager for the next installment of chaotic showdowns in the ring.
