Nigerian forward Gift Orban has expressed his excitement as he begins a fresh journey with Italian Serie A side Hellas Verona, according to reports from Daily Post.
The young striker’s loan transfer from Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim to Verona was officially finalized on Wednesday. The Italian outfit also secured the option to sign him permanently at the end of the current season.
Orban, who had a short spell of six months in the Bundesliga after joining Hoffenheim from Olympique Lyon last January, is determined to revive his career in Italy. During his time in Germany, the Nigeria international scored four goals across 16 appearances for the Bundesliga side.
Speaking about his move, Orban pledged total commitment to helping Hellas Verona succeed.
This move is seen as a fresh opportunity for the 21-year-old striker to showcase his attacking potential in the highly competitive Serie A, a league renowned for its tactical strength and world-class defenders. Verona supporters are hopeful that Orban’s arrival will strengthen their frontline as the season progresses.
