Security Agencies Directed to Prevent Criminal Influx as Governor Otti Chairs Security Council Meeting in Abia

Governor Alex Otti, on Friday, presided over the Abia State monthly security council meeting, where the current security situation and strategies for sustaining peace across the state were thoroughly reviewed.

During the high-level gathering, security operatives were strongly urged to remain on heightened alert in order to stop fleeing criminals from neighboring states from infiltrating Abia or finding refuge within its borders.

The outcome of the meeting was jointly addressed to journalists by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Navy Commander MacDonald Uba (Rtd.), alongside the Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa.

According to both officials, the security meeting served as a platform for agencies to exchange intelligence, coordinate strategies, and strengthen inter-agency collaboration in the ongoing fight against insecurity.

Commander Uba and CP Isa emphasized the importance of public participation, encouraging residents to remain vigilant and to consistently provide credible information to security operatives regarding any suspicious movement or criminal activity in their communities. They assured the people that Abia State remains safe, stable, and secure under the current administration’s proactive measures.

The meeting highlights Governor Otti’s continuous efforts to ensure Abia does not become a safe haven for criminal elements, while also reinforcing collaboration between the government, security agencies, and the people for the common goal of sustaining peace and security in the state.
