Saka’s Injury Update: Arteta Confirms No Serious Concern After Arsenal’s Dominant Win Over Ipswich

Arsenal’s 4-0 triumph over Ipswich Town on Sunday was overshadowed by a late injury concern for star winger Bukayo Saka, who suffered a rough challenge from Leif Davis that led to a straight red card for the Ipswich defender.

Following the incident at Portman Road, Saka was seen sitting on the bench with an ice pack on his foot, raising immediate fears among fans. However, manager Mikel Arteta offered some reassurance during the post-match press conference.

“I didn’t clearly see the challenge because it happened very quickly,” Arteta told reporters. “The referee made the right decision with the red card. Bukayo is in some discomfort, but thankfully it doesn’t appear to be anything major.”

This injury scare comes just weeks after Saka’s return from a hamstring injury that had sidelined him for nearly three months. His comeback played a crucial role in helping Arsenal edge past Real Madrid to secure a place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

With Arsenal set to face Crystal Palace in their next Premier League clash, followed by a critical first-leg semi-final match against Paris Saint-Germain on April 29, fans will be eagerly awaiting confirmation of Saka’s fitness.
