Ruger’s Bold Statement
On March 27, Ruger took to X (formerly Twitter) to assert his dominance, suggesting that his new album, Blown Boy Ru, would leave some artists scrambling to refine their work.
“Some people will have to go back to the studio after they hear this album, some people won’t even have the chance to coz they dropping the same day as me sad! #blownboyru,” Ruger wrote.
Fans quickly interpreted the message as a direct jab at Joeboy, whose album Viva Lavida is also scheduled for release on the same day.
Joeboy’s Response
Joeboy later responded with his own cryptic message, implying that certain artists were deliberately competing with him.
“The sky is big enough for everyone to fly but some people are choosing to fly right beside me lol. I get it, I Inspire you,” he posted.
This fueled speculation that his comment was aimed at Ruger, intensifying the perceived rivalry.
