Renowned Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly responded to the release of her elder brother, Sammy West Ojeogwu, from detention. According to reports, Sammy was granted bail in the amount of five million naira on Monday, November 10, 2025, and was released after fulfilling his bail conditions.
In a heartfelt message shared via her Instagram story, Regina expressed that no one will now dare to raise a hand against her again. She posted a video call with her brother and wrote: “People love me ooo, I no believe am walai, and that makes me emotional. I love you so much my brother. Nobody go try beat me again. The kind love I have received during this period makes me feel good.”
Sammy, following his release, also pledged loyalty and protection to his sister in the video conversation, emphasising his vow that from now on, no one will harm Regina physically.
The bail followed a wave of public concern and the online campaign under the hashtag #FreeSammy, as the younger sibling of Regina had been remanded amid an alleged domestic dispute involving her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, and accusations relating to his treatment of the actress.
