Minister Abubakar Kyari Cautions Youths on the Dangers of Quick Money

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, has issued a strong warning to Nigerian youths about the dangers of pursuing fast money through unethical means. Speaking on Friday during the 2023/2024 convocation ceremony of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology in Ibadan, Kyari highlighted the risks associated with internet fraud, popularly known as ‘Yahoo Yahoo.’

The minister, represented by the South West Zonal Director of the ministry, Mrs. Olayinka Akeredolu, emphasized that quick money schemes often lead to destruction rather than lasting success.

Kyari urged the graduating students to avoid shortcuts to wealth, stressing that such approaches are short-lived and ultimately harmful. He pointed out that social media platforms like Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) should not be the primary focus of young people’s internet activities.

“Fast money leads to destruction. It is temporary. Those engaging in Yahoo Yahoo will realize that it doesn’t last,” he warned.

He encouraged the graduates to use the internet for meaningful learning, reading e-books, and acquiring knowledge that would contribute to their personal and professional growth.

Federal College of Animal Health Produces 820 Graduates

The Provost of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Dr. Adekoya Olatunde Owosibo, announced that a total of 820 students graduated in the 2023/2024 academic session. These graduates obtained National Diplomas and Higher National Diplomas in various fields.
