Nigerian activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has raised concerns about President Bola Tinubu’s recent trip to France, alleging that the visit is for medical treatment rather than a working visit as officially stated.
Earlier reports from DAILY POST indicated that President Tinubu was scheduled to depart Abuja, Nigeria, on Wednesday for Paris for a working visit. His spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, mentioned that the president is expected to return to Nigeria within two weeks.
However, Sowore, in a post on his official Facebook page, claimed that the president’s trip was not for official duties but for medical attention. He stated, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has fled Nigeria again to France for medical care, although some individuals in his office are falsely claiming it is a ‘working visit.'” Sowore further expressed his concern, saying, “It is disturbing to think that nearly 200 million Nigerians are being continuously misinformed, and yet they remain passive in seeking the truth.”
