President Tinubu Clarifies: “I Never Forced My Wife to Become a Muslim”

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has publicly clarified that he never compelled his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to convert to Islam. The Nigerian leader made this statement during the funeral service for the late mother of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which was held in Jos, Plateau State.

While addressing dignitaries and attendees at the solemn ceremony, President Tinubu emphasized that religious tolerance and respect for individual faith choices are the foundation of a peaceful society. He noted that his marriage to Oluremi Tinubu is a testament to unity and understanding across religious lines, stressing that both of them have continued to respect each other’s faith traditions without conflict.
