Chelsea Football Club officially announced the winner of their Goal of the Season award on Wednesday.
According to an update published on the club’s official website, Chelsea fans voted for Pedro Neto’s stunning late strike against Fulham as the Men’s Goal of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign.
Neto delivered the winning moment in the final minutes of the intense match at Craven Cottage.
The dramatic goal earned Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea side a crucial three points in their Premier League outing against Fulham.
The decisive goal came after Enzo Fernandez passed the ball from midfield to Neto, who executed a flawless touch before turning and smashing a powerful left-footed shot into the top corner of the net.
The Portuguese winger secured 27% of the overall fan vote to claim the top prize.
Neto’s effort outclassed Cole Palmer’s brilliant free-kick against Brighton, which received 24% of the vote to rank second.
In third place was another goal from Cole Palmer—his contribution in Chelsea’s away victory over Wolves at Molineux—earning 15% of the votes cast.
