PDP Strategizing for 2027 Elections, Tambuwal Declares

SOKOTO: Senator Aminu Tambuwal, former Governor of Sokoto State and a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reaffirmed that the party is actively working to reclaim its lost mandate in the 2027 general elections. He made this assertion on Monday while launching a Ramadan relief initiative aimed at supporting residents of Sokoto State.

PDP’s Humanitarian Efforts During Ramadan

Tambuwal highlighted that the Ramadan assistance programme would provide essential food items to over 30,000 households in Sokoto. He noted that this initiative aligns with the broader commitment of PDP lawmakers at both the state and federal levels, who have been consistently delivering food aid and welfare support to citizens.

He emphasized that PDP representatives have also distributed thousands of rice bags and other staple grains to women-led and youth organizations to ease their fasting period during this sacred month.

“It is a blessing to witness another Ramadan, and we remain grateful for life. We pray for continued good health and longevity so that we can observe many more Ramadan seasons,” Tambuwal stated.

PDP’s Commitment to Regaining Leadership

The senator stressed the need for party unity, affirming that PDP remains a cohesive force determined to reclaim governance in Nigeria. He alleged that the party’s victory was unjustly taken in the last elections but expressed confidence in PDP’s strategic restructuring to win in 2027.

“With Allah’s grace, our stolen mandate will be restored in 2027,” Tambuwal assured party supporters.

PDP Leaders Urge Nigerians to Choose Good Governance

During the event, PDP’s Sokoto State Chairman, Bello Goronyo, commended party members for their unwavering commitment. He urged Nigerians to recognize the economic and social challenges under the current administration and consider PDP as the viable alternative for progressive governance in 2027.

Goronyo criticized the ruling party, stating that economic hardships have significantly worsened since the PDP left power. He called on Nigerians to take control of their future by voting for a government that prioritizes the welfare of the people.
