PDP Board of Trustees Holds Emergency Meeting Over Leadership Crisis
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) has convened an emergency meeting at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, to address the party’s ongoing leadership crisis.
The gathering aims to discuss viable solutions to the internal disputes, particularly regarding conflicting court rulings on the National Secretary position. This leadership battle has intensified in recent months, prompting urgent intervention from top party stakeholders.
Among the notable attendees are BoT Chairman Senator Adolphus Wabara, BoT Secretary Senator Ahmed Makarfi, and former governors Achike Udenwa, Sam Egwu, Babangida Aliyu, Senator Ben Obi, and Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola, among other senior party members.
Beyond resolving the National Secretary dispute, the meeting also seeks to strategize on strengthening the party despite its internal challenges. As the PDP navigates these political tensions, party leaders are working towards fostering unity and stability within its ranks.
