Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has paid glowing tributes to the founding fathers of Abia State, commending their foresight and determination which culminated in the creation of the State on August 27, 1991. Speaking during his goodwill message on Wednesday, Governor Otti reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the integrity of the State and vowed that no part of Abia would be allowed to fall into the hands of criminal elements.
In his stern warning to criminal groups and bandits, Otti declared:
“No inch of Abia State will be safe for those who traffic in violence and tools of destruction. My government will ensure that law-abiding citizens thrive, while criminal elements are completely crushed.”
Traditional Rulers Commend Otti’s Leadership
In addition to the Governor’s remarks, the Chairman of Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Linus Nto Mbah, also praised the remarkable progress under the current administration. According to him, the State has become significantly more secure, developed, and cleaner since Dr. Otti assumed office.
Speaking on the commemoration of 34 years of Abia’s creation, Eze Mbah noted that citizens were now experiencing improved healthcare services, upgraded infrastructure, and better living conditions. He also highlighted that Governor Otti has enhanced the welfare and dignity of traditional rulers in the State.
A Modest Celebration Without Public Fanfare
The day, however, remains significant in the hearts of Abians, as it offered an opportunity to reflect on the journey so far and the vision of the founding fathers who dreamed of a prosperous and united State.
