Gökhan İnler, the Technical Director at Udinese, has shed light on the unusual character of Aurelio De Laurentiis, President of Napoli Football Club, in relation to the high-profile transfer of Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray.
In a recent interview with HT Spor, as reported by Turkish outlet Habersarikirmizi, İnler praised Galatasaray’s determination and boldness in chasing the Nigerian international.
“I’ve known Victor Osimhen for some time; he has always shown interest in playing for Galatasaray,” İnler said confidently during the chat.
“When this signing goes through, it will be deserving of our congratulations. Galatasaray pulled off a significant deal, and I sincerely hope the transfer is concluded soon.”
“Aurelio De Laurentiis doesn’t back down easily; he fights till the final minute,” İnler added.
“Even when I moved from Udinese to Napoli, it wasn’t an easy process. The president insisted I wear a lion mask during my unveiling ceremony, although I really didn’t want to. But he wouldn’t take no for an answer.”
As Osimhen awaits final confirmation of his next destination, the football world watches closely. Galatasaray fans are hopeful of welcoming one of the most energetic and clinical forwards in European football, while Napoli prepares to close yet another chapter in their recent history.
