Osimhen’s Galatasaray Move: İnler Reveals Napoli President Once Forced Him to Wear Lion Mask

Gökhan İnler, the Technical Director at Udinese, has shed light on the unusual character of Aurelio De Laurentiis, President of Napoli Football Club, in relation to the high-profile transfer of Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray.

According to İnler, the ongoing saga involving Nigerian striker Osimhen, 26, is heating up as the forward edges closer to a permanent move to Turkish champions Galatasaray SK. The transfer talks follow Osimhen’s impressive loan spell with the club, which has apparently convinced both parties to push for a final deal this summer.

In a recent interview with HT Spor, as reported by Turkish outlet Habersarikirmizi, İnler praised Galatasaray’s determination and boldness in chasing the Nigerian international.

“Aurelio De Laurentiis doesn’t back down easily; he fights till the final minute,” İnler added.

“Even when I moved from Udinese to Napoli, it wasn’t an easy process. The president insisted I wear a lion mask during my unveiling ceremony, although I really didn’t want to. But he wouldn’t take no for an answer.”
