Ogun Police Declare Portable Wanted Over Alleged Assault On State Officials

The Ogun State Police Command has officially declared Nigerian music artiste Habeeb Olalomi, widely known as Portable, wanted over an alleged violent attack on officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

Allegations Against Portable

According to a statement from the Ogun Police, Portable, allegedly armed with a firearm and other dangerous weapons, led a group of nine individuals in an attack on unarmed state officials. The incident reportedly left several officials with injuries, but they managed to escape and reported the case to the Ota Area Command.

LMSINT MEDIA reports that the attack took place at Odogwu Bar during an enforcement exercise at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota. During the exercise, officials encountered an elderly man later identified as Portable’s father. The confrontation soon escalated into violence, leading to the attack.

Portable’s Response and Police Action

Following the incident, Portable released multiple videos on social media apologizing to the Ogun State Government. However, the police dismissed his apology, stating that legal actions had already commenced.

In a statement released via their official X (formerly Twitter) account, the Ogun Police Command confirmed that a court order had been obtained to declare Portable wanted.

Call for Public Assistance

The police have urged the public to provide any relevant information that could aid in Portable’s arrest. They also warned that anyone found aiding or sheltering the singer would face legal consequences.
