Popular Nigerian rap artist Odumodublvck has openly expressed that he wishes the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, had pursued a career in music. The rapper explained that Wike possesses a distinctive vocal quality which, in his opinion, would have made him a standout in the music business.
Sharing his thoughts on his X (formerly Twitter) social media platform, Odumodublvck remarked:
“I wish say Wike dey do music. I hear something in his vocals. I’m not joking.”
Just last month, while commissioning the collector road stretching from Mabushi to the Judges’ Quarters located in Katampe, Wike made a public declaration about increasing the wages of his music band members. This public commitment showed his continued support for his band and their contribution to social engagements and public events.
The minister’s band has become quite well-known for several viral songs that have resonated with many Nigerians, including widely recognized titles like “As E Dey Sweet Us”, “Agreement Is Agreement”, and “Biggie Man”, among others. These songs continue to circulate on social media platforms, strengthening the popularity of the band and reflecting Wike’s flair for combining governance with musical entertainment.
By maintaining his musical group and even investing in their welfare, Wike has demonstrated an unusual blend of politics and culture that has captured the admiration of entertainers like Odumodublvck, who genuinely believes the minister could have made hits if he had chosen to step fully into the music scene.
