Remo Stars Secure a Convincing Win Against Enyimba – Ogunmodede Reacts
Remo Stars’ technical adviser, Daniel Ogunmodede, has lauded his players for their outstanding performance in their 2-0 victory over Enyimba during the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 31 encounter.
Goals from Olamilekan Adedayo and Samson Olasupo secured the crucial three points, reinforcing Remo Stars’ dominance in the league.
Ogunmodede: “It Was a Hard-Fought Battle”
Speaking to Remo Stars media, Ogunmodede acknowledged the challenging nature of the game against Enyimba, one of Nigeria’s most successful clubs.
“This is the level of performance I demand from my players. Facing a team like Enyimba, one of the biggest clubs in Nigeria and Africa, is never easy,” Ogunmodede stated.
He also praised Stanley Eguma’s tactical approach, recognizing Enyimba’s strong push for a continental ticket.
“Enyimba came fully prepared because they are also in the race for a top position. It was a tough contest, but we knew how important the win was for our campaign,” he added.
Remo Stars Extend Lead on NPFL Table
With this crucial victory, Remo Stars now top the NPFL standings with 60 points from 30 matches, creating a wider gap from their closest competitors.
As the season progresses, the club remains focused on securing a continental spot and possibly clinching the NPFL title.
