Rivers United manager, Finidi George, has made it clear that his squad remains determined to secure a second Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title despite a tough competition from current leaders Remo Stars.
The Port Harcourt-based team currently sits in second place on the NPFL standings, trailing Remo Stars by seven points. With only four crucial games left in the season, Rivers United sees a chance to turn the tide and reclaim the top spot.
Speaking to the press, Finidi shared his unwavering belief in the team’s capability.
“We still have 12 points to fight for and two home games ahead. Our aim is to increase the pressure on Remo Stars. We’re staying focused and will approach the Kano Pillars match looking to secure a result,” he stated with conviction.
Finidi emphasized that his positive mindset is infectious, highlighting that the club is united in its ambition to push until the final whistle of the season.
