Former Shooting Stars manager Fatai Amoo has confidently tipped Remo Stars FC to secure their first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title, citing their impressive form and determination as key indicators of their championship potential.
The Ikenne-based side, popularly known as the Sky Blue Stars, currently leads the 2025 NPFL standings with 65 points after 34 matches—putting them ahead of Rivers United, who trail with 58 points.
In an exclusive chat with Complete Sports, Amoo expressed high confidence in Remo Stars’ ability to sustain their performance and finish the season strong.
“If they maintain this momentum, Remo Stars will definitely win the league,” said Amoo.
“They have remained top of the table for weeks, won matches many thought they’d lose, and displayed the consistency of true champions.”
With only a handful of fixtures remaining, Remo Stars’ next challenge is against Niger Tornadoes, a clash set to take place at the team’s home ground in Ikenne, Ogun State. Amoo believes that if the club approaches the remaining games with the same intensity, they will be crowned champions for the first time in their history.
