SARS Investigation Panel: Petitioner Alleges DPO and Officers Framed and Killed Colleague
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has refuted ongoing speculations regarding the reinstatement of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) under new operational guidelines.
In an official statement titled “Disclaimer: SARS Remains Dissolved,” released in Abuja on Monday, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, reaffirmed that SARS remains permanently disbanded since its dissolution on October 11, 2020.
No Plans for SARS Return – Police Clarifies
ACP Adejobi categorically dismissed any claims about a SARS revival, warning the public to disregard misleading reports. He stated:
“The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has not been reinstated. Any circulating information regarding its reformation or operational guidelines should be approached with caution.”
