Nigeria Partners With Russia For Advancements In Space Technology And STEM

Nigeria has announced plans to collaborate with the Russian Federation in key sectors such as Space Technology, Agriculture, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The Permanent Secretary of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Mrs. Esuabana Nko Asanye, highlighted the importance of international partnerships in advancing scientific progress. According to her, “Science does not operate in isolation, and nations must collaborate to build strong bilateral relationships.”

Mrs. Asanye made this statement during a courtesy visit by officials from the Russian Embassy, led by Sergei Pliushchov, the Senior Counselor for Trade and Economic Affairs, in Abuja.

The Ministry expressed keen interest in leveraging Russian expertise in Space Technology by training Nigerian scientific officers and researchers.
