The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced a temporary suspension of key services at its headquarters in Sauka, Abuja, scheduled for Tuesday, December 10, 2024. This decision aligns with preparations for the Presidential Commissioning of the newly established Technology Complex within the premises.

In a statement signed by the NIS Public Relations Officer, DCI KT Udo, the agency highlighted the temporary disruption of the following services at its headquarters:
- Passport Issuance and Renewals (Biometric Capturing): Applicants with appointments on December 10 are advised to reschedule.
- Other Immigration-Related Services: Banking and essential on-site operations at the headquarters will be halted for the day.
The agency assured the public that its online portal remains fully operational for select services during this period.
