A tragic incident unfolded on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos as an unidentified woman reportedly leaped into the lagoon. Despite swift rescue efforts by the marine police, she was later found lifeless. Details of the Incident According to an eyewitness report, the unfortunate event took place around 4:00 p.m. near the University of Lagos (UNILAG) waterfront. Authorities confirmed that marine police officers stationed in the vicinity responded promptly to the emergency. Although immediate efforts were made to rescue her, the woman was later declared dead upon retrieval. Medical personnel from the University of Lagos confirmed her passing upon arrival at the shore.
