The Osun State Police Command has officially appointed a new Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abiodun Ojelabi Zechariah. In an announcement made by the outgoing PPRO, SP Adeoye Akeem Adeola, on behalf of Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Umar Abba, it was confirmed that DSP Zechariah has assumed office. The statement also highlighted that he is replacing SP Adeoye Akeem Adeola, who has now been reassigned to the Ondo State Police Command. According to the statement, “DSP Zechariah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the Nigeria Police Academy. He was inducted into the Nigeria Police Force in 2018 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and was part of the Regular Course 1 at the Police Academy (POLAC).” Before his current posting to Osun State, DSP Zechariah had served as a Unit Commander at the 4 PMF in Ibadan. His appointment is part of the command’s efforts to strengthen communication and public relations strategies.
