The siblings had just attended Jumat prayers at a nearby mosque. A hijab-wearing woman approached them and handed Ubueda a crumpled ₦500 note, instructing her to buy yoghurt worth ₦150. Trusting the stranger, Ubueda complied, only to return and discover that her younger brother had disappeared. This devastating event marked the fifth abduction in the area within a short time. Residents were left shaken, fearing for the safety of their children. Suspect Apprehended Three days after the incident, the suspect resurfaced in the same community. A Nasarawa State High Court has ordered the remand of Timilehin Ajayi, a self-proclaimed gospel singer, after he was reportedly caught with the severed head of Salome Adaidu, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member. Umaru reported that a fellow church member had seen Ajayi behaving suspiciously near a river. The member witnessed Ajayi dispose of a bag into the water, which was later retrieved and shockingly found to contain the severed head of Adaidu. Confession and Denial Upon his arrest, Ajayi confessed to the crime, alleging that he killed Adaidu after discovering she was unfaithful. However, the deceased’s family strongly denied these claims. They asserted that Adaidu was never romantically involved with Ajayi and suggested she might have been kidnapped, contrary to earlier reports of her visiting Ajayi.
