The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has officially confirmed the tragic deaths of several U.S. soldiers who went missing in Lithuania during a military exercise.

Speaking to reporters in Warsaw, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte expressed deep sorrow over the incident.
“This is devastating news, and our thoughts are with the families and loved ones,” Rutte stated.

According to a statement from the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Public Affairs Office in Wiesbaden, Germany, the soldiers were engaged in scheduled tactical training near Pabradė, a region located north of Vilnius, Lithuania’s capital.
Reports indicate that the training exercise was part of ongoing U.S.-NATO military operations in the region, aimed at strengthening allied defense strategies.
