Napoli appear to be on the cusp of finalizing an agreement to bring Rasmus Højlund to the club. A pivotal factor in this potential move is Scott McTominay, who reportedly phoned the Manchester United striker over the weekend, aiming to persuade him to join the reigning Serie A champions. These conversations, according to reports, may serve as a critical catalyst in convincing Højlund to make the switch.

Rasmus Højlund finds himself surplus to requirements under United manager Rúben Amorim this season, particularly after the club secured Benjamin Sesko as their primary striker. As a result, Højlund has yet to feature in the Premier League, making a summer departure increasingly likely.
