Houthi Leaders Eliminated as U.S. Airstrikes Intensify in Yemen

President Donald Trump announced that multiple senior Houthi leaders and militants have been killed in a series of U.S. airstrikes targeting rebel-held regions in Yemen. The president shared this update on Truth Social, emphasizing that military action will persist until all threats to U.S. interests are eradicated.

Trump stated that the “Iran-backed Houthi militants” have suffered substantial losses over the last two weeks due to relentless U.S. operations.

“Many of their fighters and leaders are no longer with us. We are striking them day and night—escalating the intensity,” Trump wrote.

The president further stressed that Houthi capabilities, particularly those endangering global shipping and regional stability, are being systematically dismantled.

“Our operations will continue until they no longer pose a risk to freedom of navigation. The Houthis have a choice: cease targeting U.S. vessels, and we will halt our attacks. Otherwise, we are only getting started, and the real consequences are yet to unfold for both the Houthis and their Iranian sponsors,” he warned.

The latest round of airstrikes, conducted on Monday, specifically targeted Houthi positions in Sana’a, Yemen’s capital, where the rebel faction has maintained control since 2014. Reports indicate that at least three individuals were killed, and 12 others sustained injuries during the operation.

These strikes follow another wave of air assaults launched on Friday as part of the broader U.S. military campaign that commenced on March 15. The ongoing offensive aims to neutralize Houthi forces, ensuring regional security and safeguarding vital international trade routes.
