Kylian Mbappé, the star forward for Real Madrid, has expressed belief that a Champions League comeback against Arsenal is still within reach.
Despite a challenging 3-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, Mbappé remains hopeful. Arsenal’s win, which saw goals from Declan Rice and Mikel Arteta’s side, put Real Madrid in a difficult position ahead of next week’s return leg.
However, Mbappé has urged his Real Madrid teammates to maintain their confidence and not give up. Speaking after the match, he emphasized that a comeback is still possible.
“The comeback is possible, of course. We have to believe until the end,” said Mbappé, as quoted by football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Real Madrid will look to bounce back in their next La Liga match against Alaves on Sunday before their crucial second-leg clash with Arsenal at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.
